Roland DGA and YR partnered to offer on-site apparel personalisation at the US Open Tennis

Leading wide-format digital imaging provider Roland DGA partnered with YR, a leading product customisation software provider to implement on-demand personalised apparel technology at the US Open Tennis Championship in Flushing, New York.

Both collaborated to deliver a seamless, premium on-site printing experience using Roland DG VersaSTUDIO BY-20 printers and YR's latest software platform. The BY-20 direct-to-film printers enables output personalised graphics on demand and integrates with YR's software. This integration allowed fans to instantly create personalised merchandise. The installation produced over 10,000 high-quality items for the attendees of the US Open.

The US Open, well known for both tradition and innovation provided the perfect venue for Roland DGA and YR to combine their respective areas of expertise to take on-demand product personalisation to a whole new level.

The cutting-edge technologies that Roland DGA and YR have brought to the US Open has made it simple for fans to create something special that they were able to take home as a memento of their experience. Visitors created designs in multiple locations around the US Open venue using the YR software on large touch screens or their own devices. All orders were then routed to a central print facility, built by YR, on-site at the US Open. The YR software platform controlled all the order management and routing, and automatically managed the printing process in real time.
