EFKA set for innovation showcase at European Sign Expo 2025

Ahead of the European Sign Expo 2025, Rob Fletcher speaks to Harold Klaren, International Sales Manager of EFKA, to find out more about what visitors can expect from the textile framing and lightbox solutions specialist at this year’s event and how its solutions can help attendees capitalise on the latest trends.

Returning in May, the European Sign Expo 2025 is a must-attend for anyone involved in sign-making. Featuring the leading brands from across the industry, this year’s event will take place alongside the FESPA Global Print Expo 2025 in Berlin, Germany from 6-9 May, with thousands of professionals set to attend.

Among the many innovative companies exhibiting this year is EFKA, which specialises in textile framing and lightbox solutions, working with customers around the world on all manner of eye-catching projects. A long-term supporter of the event, EFKA will once again also serve as an official partner of the European Sign Expo, as part of an effort to showcase its latest solutions to visitors.

Here, Harold Klaren, international sales manager of EFKA, offers an insight into the supplier’s plans for the exhibition and sets out how its latest products can help customers expand and grow.

Responding to demand

“We see the European Sign Expo as a key platform to connect with industry professionals, showcase our latest innovations, and discuss trends,” Klaren said. “It is a great opportunity to demonstrate how our aluminium textile frames can be used to create high-quality, sustainable, and visually impactful signage solutions.

“Being at the show also allows us to engage with our partners and customers, gaining valuable insights into their needs and expectations.”

On this, Klaren picked up on some of the stand-out trends that have emerged both over the past 12 months and in recent years, setting out EFKA’s determination to provide customers with the solutions to respond to these changing demands.

“In 2024, we saw a strong shift towards sustainability in signage, with more businesses opting for eco-friendly materials and modular, reusable display solutions,” he said. “The demand for illuminated signage also continued to grow, particularly in retail and exhibition settings, where brands sought ways to enhance visibility and customer engagement.

“Additionally, customisation and flexibility became increasingly important, with customers looking for customised solutions that seamlessly integrate with branding requirements.”

Looking ahead, Klaren said sustainability will remain a key driver, with innovations in eco-friendly and recyclable materials leading the way. He also highlighted digital integration as another crucial trend, with businesses looking for ways to combine physical signage with interactive and smart technologies.

“The industry should also be prepared for evolving customer expectations, where speed, customisation, and online ordering play a bigger role,” Klaren said. “Here at EFKA, we are continuously adapting to these changes by enhancing our product offerings and digital tools.”

Commitment to sustainability

With this, Klaren picks out what visitors can expect from EFKA at the European Sign Expo 2025. One major highlight on the EFKA stand will be the official launch of its new outdoor range, featuring various profiles suitable for illuminated and non-illuminated applications.

EFKA will also present its Lightbox 60 profile, which is now available as a 3D profile, which customers can use to create spectacular illuminated walls with the Carre 60 profile. There will also be a showcase of its commitment to sustainability, especially developments with eco-friendly aluminium.

Visitors can also learn about the versatility of EFKA textile frames and custom applications, including how its solutions can be tailored to meet the unique needs of different industries. On top of this will be insight into the supplier’s modular and reusable designs, with a core emphasis on efficiency and flexibility in signage.

In addition, the EFKA team will demonstrate the supplier’s webshop, including a configurator with a step-by-step guide, making it easier for customers to calculate and order their textile frames efficiently.

“The European Sign Expo is the leading event for signage professionals,” Klaren said. “It’s a great opportunity to discover the latest technologies, exchange ideas, and find solutions that enhance business growth. Whether you’re looking for new products, inspiration, or valuable networking opportunities, this event is the place to be.

“We invite visitors to our stand to experience our products firsthand and explore how we can support their signage needs.”
