HP encourages the sign and display market to ‘Print your Future’ at FESPA

HP will be bringing a vast array of machines and new enhancements to FESPA Digital from its Latex, Scitex PageWide and DesignJet portfolios.

At FESPA Digital 2016, from 8-11 March at Rai Amsterdam, HP will showcase its market-leading solutions and the wide array of applications made possible with its latest portfolio of digital printing technology.

HP will continue the success of its “Print Your Future” theme, aiming to demonstrate its innovative solutions and highlight the range of applications made possible with its market-leading digital printing technology.

As well as live demonstrations of HP printers, the HP stand (Hall 1, stand H40) will feature numerous inspiring application examples produced using HP Latex, PageWide, DesignJet, Scitex and Indigo technology.

Utilising these cutting-edge HP solutions, PSPs are exploring new business opportunities and broadening their product offerings with creative sign and display and corrugated packaging applications, including outdoor signage, retail graphics, vehicle wrapping, decorative applications and corrugated displays.

In addition to the application versatility provided by HP solutions, PSPs using these technologies are benefiting from improved productivity and quality, enabling them to remain competitive in a challenging business environment.

HP Technology in Action at FESPA

The HP solutions on the HP FESPA stand include:

•       HP Latex 310, 360, 370 and 3500 Printers

•       HP WallArt

•       HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer

•       HP Scitex FB750 Industrial Printer

•       HP DesignJet Z3200 and Z6200 Photo Production Printers

HP Latex technology provides PSPs with the flexibility to offer an extensive range of indoor and outdoor graphics. It enables printing onto a wide range of substrates, including uncoated and 100 per cent cotton canvases, papers, films, and self-adhesive materials.

This extensive versatility allows PSPs to undertake a multitude of job types, including POS/POP graphics and posters, light boxes, soft signage, wall coverings, vehicle graphics and event banners.

HP Latex technology has also enabled HP customers to benefit from the growing interior décor market, offering designers new possibilities to express themselves through custom wall coverings, fabrics and furnishings.

FESPA visitors will be among the first to see the new enhancements to the HP WallArt Suite platform, launched at Heimtextil in January 2016. HP WallArt is an easy and innovative web-to-print experience designed to help small-to-medium sized print service providers (PSPs) in the decoration space.

The unique technology was created exclusively for HP’s line of Latex printers to address rising demands for e-commerce integration between PSPs and customers and is the first HP solution to integrate everything from the design process to quotes and customer orders in one place.

The New HP WallArt Suite has been redesigned with a clear strategic vision of being the first open platform in the large-format market that allows the integration of different digital content apps and new application development.

HP PageWide XL Printers offer the fastest large-format production printing available in colour and black-and-white. The new printers consolidate workflow to deliver mixed black-and-white and colour prints in half the time it would take to manually collate documents produced on multiple printers.

As such, reprographic houses, PSPs and enterprise central reprographic departments (CRDs) can produce computer-aided design (CAD) drawings and expand their product range to include geographic information system (GIS) maps, POS applications and posters.

With high uptime and automatic maintenance, the HP Scitex Printers are proven robust, easy-to-use workhorses, printing on both rigid and flexible media with a single device. The latest HP Scitex portfolio also includes solutions that simplify and streamline corrugated printing on an industrial scale.

Using HP Scitex technology, converters and display makers can print direct to corrugated media as well as add short-run and versioning capabilities to their existing flexographic or lithographic-lamination operations.

The HP DesignJet Printers deliver high-quality output at high speeds, enabling PSPs to expand their offering to include top photo-quality prints, backlit signs, POP displays, roll-up banners, canvases, and more.

What are the benefits of Direct-To-Fabric printing?

Direct-to-fabric printing is gaining popularity for high-volume textile production, enabling on-demand, customized short runs. These printers offer ink flexibility, accommodating various fabric types like cotton and silk, though ink development focuses on faster turnaround by reducing pre- and post-processing. Compared to traditional methods, direct-to-fabric inkjet printing is a more sustainable option due to reduced water and chemical usage, and localized production.
