New president for Roland DG EMEA

Gregory Bilsen, president and CEO of Roland DG Central Europe, has been promoted to president, Roland DG EMEA and charged with driving growth in the region.

Belgian-based Bilsen, who will now handle both roles, reports to Eli Keersmaekers, president of global sales and marketing, and executive officer at Roland DG HQ.

A Belgian national, Bilsen has worked within Roland DG since 2011, having previously held the roles of COO and president of Roland DG Belgium. He has led Roland DG’s Central European business unit for nearly five years, driving forward sales within new vertical markets - such as retail and industrial - whilst boosting growth, service and support at a local level.

Following Bilsen’s appointment, Johan Struyfs, Roland DG Central Europe’s head of sales, marketing and service, has been promoted to operations director, Roland DG Central Europe.

Keersmaekers said of Bilsen: “He has proven leadership skills and will ensure that Roland DG EMEA continues to focus and capitalise on existing and potential market opportunities throughout the region.

“For many years now Roland DG has sought to employ and promote the very best talent from around the globe. This has resulted in increased efficiencies across the board and a more agile business which is able to react quickly to the needs of the more than 200 diverse countries in which we operate. Gregory’s appointment will ensure we consolidate the growth and success within EMEA and ultimately strengthen Roland DG’s global position.”

Industry members keen to find out more about both the latest equipment and developments from Roland DG can visit the manufacturer at FESPA global print expo this year. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with their representatives and technical experts about the technology, as well as its wide range of other digital print solutions that it has on offer.
