Roq to launch Hybrid DTG printer at FESPA 2017

Roq has entered the direct-to-garment printing market with the launch of the new Roq Hybrid, that will be showcased for the first time at FESPA 2017.

The Hybrid is capable outputting 450 pieces per hour, according to the company, and it can be supplied with either 8 or 12 printheads. The 8-heads model uses CMYK inks whilst the 12-head model uses CMYK plus two extra colours to enhance and extend the colour gamut.

"As it's already a tradition, Roq will be attending FESPA 2017, and we are going to put on a show like never before. We will bring our latest technology to Hamburg, and the biggest tradeshow of the year will showcase our best stand of the year!" commented the company.

"For those who don’t know yet the Roq Hybrid, it is a digital direct to garment textile printer, designed to work in conjunction with an automatic screen printing machine. This allows any printer to take the best output of both techniques, offering the productivity of a screen printing machine with the definition of a digital printing device”.

Roq has chosen the Fujifilm Dimatix printhead for the Hybrid, which, it says, “represents the future of this technology.” The company explains that one of the major advantages of the Dimatix head is that its nozzles can be repaired instead of having to replace the whole print head. “This feature allows for a greater lifespan of the print heads,” Roq adds.

The Roq Hybrid offers a maximum printing size of 500 x 700mm or 750 x 900mm, and its Z axis can be adjusted by up to 20mm to accommodate different heights of garments and textile substrates.

At FESPA 2017, the Roq Hybrid will be working attached to the new Roq ECO XL with 18 pallets and 10 printheads, that will make its debut at the event.

"With the new Roq ECO XL, we will be able to demonstrate how you can mix the digital and screen printing techniques by embellishing the print in a new way."

In addition, Roq has launched a new line of digital inks and products, as well the Roq Studio a RIP software powered by Neostampa, alongside the Hybrid machine.

Also on display will be the screen printer Oval Evolution with 20 pallets and 10 printheads.

"With the Oval Evolution we will show our ROQpress foil, ROQpress Iron, ROQ flock and ROQ cool. ROQpress Foil applies foil, ROQpress Iron irons the textile for better textures, ROQ Flock applies flock, ROQ Asp vacuums the excess flock and ROQ cool lowers the pallet temperature. All the tools you need to make exceptional works of art in screen printing," Roq added.

Although the company hasn't disclosed further details yet, it has announced an extra product launch that will be unveiled at the show.

"The best thing for you to do is to come and visit our stand at FESPA 2017 and see it by yourself. As always we will have our full team present plus the teams of most agents worldwide so that we are able to advise you and present you all the new tech that will boost your business!" the company concludes.
