Sihl sets for advertising and POS focus at FESPA 2017

Sihl has announced that will introduce a number of new products at FESPA 2017 next month, with a focus on the advertising and point-of-sale sectors.

The digital printing media solutions provider will present its new branding and comprehensive product portfolio at FESPA 2017. The concept of the brand relaunch is to give customers a better added value with improved products in the future and strengthen the market profile to increase the global growth.

The company's stand will focus on the Interior Design, Photo & Art and Advertising & POS sectors. The focus is on a clearer, defined presentation of the extensive product portfolio as forefront for the customers.

Interior Design

Alongside the established, successful wallpaper collection, the spotlight will be on the new Glass Textile design2wall HealthClean 295 matt 2525 wallpaper, which meets the highest of standards. It is robust, tear resistance and allows disinfectant cleaning: this product can even be cleaned using ethanol without taking the colours off or damaging the printed image.

The best possible ink anchorage is made possible with dye sublimation inks: combined with the suitable receptive coating almost indestructible prints can be achieved.

Photo & Art

In the sector Photo & Art, Sihl expands their canvas range with two new canvases, one for solvent and latex inks and one for waterbased inks; both products are ideal for the price-sensitive sector of the market.

Advertising & POS

Sihl will also show at FESPA 2017, the Fabric Banner Prime 400 FR Matt AQ (3503), a black polyester textile with a white coating on the printable side, suitable for use in for free-hanging applications and clamping display systems.

Due to the perfect flatness and the black base material, the fabric banner, Prime is also ideal for placement in high quality roll-up systems.

In combination with water-based and latex inks, the special coating allows a wide colour gamut and a homogenous printed image. In addition, a tear resistance feature has been developed for long-term indoor and short-term outdoor applications, allowing the material to be sewn or punched for eye-lets.

In addition, the firm will display Wallgrafx Prime 240 FR Satin, a dimensionally stable, self-adhesive polyester fabric with a receptive coating for solvent and latex inks.

The product is suitable for use in the production of decorative wallcoverings, exhibition stands and furniture, as well as for advertising applications.

Janine Bülten, marketing and communication at Sihl, commented: “The material is easy to apply to smooth and slightly structured surfaces; it can be repositioned and removed without leaving any residues.

“The perfect print quality, with excellent colour brilliance and its slight sheen to the surface lend this product a distinctive character.”

In addition, visitors will be able to learn more about Poster Paper Pro 200 Matt (3672) and Poster Paper Pro 130 Matt (3673), multi-layer coated, wet-proof and weather resistant materials with a matt finish and suitable printing with solvent, latex and UV curing inks.

Bülten said: “The prints produce homogenous printed images, excellent scratch resistance and very good edge strength. Both papers are qualified for outdoor advertising.”
