Unwrapping WrapFest’s new features

Following the phenomenal success of its first event, WrapFest 2024 – the UK's leading showcase for the vehicle and surface detailing community – has announced details of its feature highlights, which includes new and returning favourites to the agenda this October.

Reflecting on industry innovation and growth, an emphasis will be placed on surface decoration and the comprehensive educational programme will empower businesses to capitalise on the surging demand for vinyl wrapping.

New and improved

Taking place at Silverstone Racing Circuit, Northamptonshire, the two-day event (3-4 October 2024) will offer a comprehensive programme of informative talks, demonstrations, and networking opportunities designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to succeed in the vinyl wrapping industry.

In response to growing industry demand, WrapFest will unveil a brand-new zone dedicated to surface decoration. The Surface Decoration Showcase will display a vast array of products for interior spaces, including furniture wraps, window films, wall coverings, and window tinting solutions. Independent trainers will be on hand to demonstrate these solutions, allowing attendees to get hands-on experience with the latest materials.

The popular WrapTalks programme will offer a dynamic lineup of sessions to equip attendees with the knowledge and strategies needed to thrive in today’s competitive wrapping industry. A powerful panel discussion featuring industry leader Paige Walton, CEO and Founder of The Vehicle Wrapping Academy, will explore the unique experiences of women in the sector as she moderates the panel discussion, ‘Women in Wrap’. Later, renowned designer Sean Bull, F1 Graphic Designer at Alpine, will share his expertise on the interplay of design, technology, and aesthetics in Formula 1.

Also confirmed, Keiran McCabe, Owner of RGVA Vehicle Graphics, will host ‘Designing Effective Fleet Liveries’.  This session will teach attendees how to design and implement eye-catching fleet liveries that promote their brand, using industry best practices and innovative techniques. McCabe will also touch on how to achieve consistency across fleets, turning vehicles into mobile marketing tools.

With applications of vinyl spanning beyond vehicles, WrapFest attendees will be able to listen in on an exclusive interview with Chris Edwards, Director of CVI Group. During ‘Architectural Wrap and its Role in the Industry’, Edwards will talk about how architectural wraps can revitalise spaces, create immersive environments and look into real-world applications that redefine design possibilities.

WrapFest provides unique opportunities for business professionals to gain valuable insights and learn from senior industry experts. New for this year, visitors will get an exclusive chance for one-on-one advice from celebrity car wrapper Yiannimize as WrapFest hosts a bookable ‘business surgery’ for those looking to take their services to the next level on day one. Visitors without a pre-booked slot are encouraged to come along to listen and learn.

Returning favourites

WrapFest 2024 will again host live demonstrations in the famous pit garages at Silverstone. Dedicated areas for event sponsors will offer learning opportunities and installations from industry-leading technicians. Attendees can witness firsthand the latest wrapping techniques, materials, and products built to serve the growing consumer demand for innovative and eye-catching wraps. The pit demo agenda will be announced in the coming weeks.

The UK leg of the eagerly anticipated World Wrap Masters competition will also return to WrapFest. Up to 20 world-class wrappers will battle it out under pressure in a series of skill testing and creative rounds over the two days with the winner going on to compete at the World Wrap Masters Final in May 2025. The judges will task this year’s entering participants with dedicated challenges using printed media, colour change, and new for 2024, PPF materials. Returning judges, Kiss Lajos, Ivan Tenchev, and Ole Solskin will ensure an unmissable show for attendees.

WrapFest 2024 also offers a plethora of additional features to create a truly immersive experience for the vinyl and surface detailing world. Show N Shine offers a chance for visitors to highlight their own work to fellow attendees whilst being scored on their design, materials, and finish to win daily prizes from the People’s Choice and Judges Choice Awards. Elsewhere, The Wrap Institute, WrapFest Learnings Partner, will once again encourage visitors to test their wrapping skills in a fun series of competitions at Wrap Warrior Battle, including the challenge by 3M, ‘Wrap The Dots’. By popular demand, Silverstone Simulators will give visitors the chance to once again go head-to-head – prizes will be given to the daily leaders who drive the fastest lap of the track.

To bring the whole vinyl and surface decoration and detailing industry together, the Wrap Party, on Thursday 3 October from 6pm will be hosted nearby at the local Blackpit Brewery. WrapFest 2024 is the ultimate destination for anyone involved in the vehicle wrapping and surface decoration industry.
