Zünd sets optical registration in high gear

Zünd uses the new Over Cutter Camera OCC to process printed substrates quicker than ever before. The fully automated OCC takes a single shot to capture all register marks at once in seconds.

Capturing register marks in order to establish position and potential distortions of of printed graphics is labour intensive, especially in applications that need a lot of them. With the new Over Cutter Camera OCC, Zünd can now offer a ground-breaking expansion to the traditional approach of sequential register mark capture with the ICC camera. The OCC system is driven by Zünd Cut Center ZCC and captures one image to register all visible marks in the working area. Subsequently ZCC compensates for any distortions and processing commences almost instantaneously. Even after a material advance, no user intervention is necessary. The OCC system automatically captures all register marks after each advance and as a result helps produce maximum productivity. The Over Cutter Camera has a sophisticated one-shot capture with high-resolution optics that contributes to the bottom line with fast registration and productivity.

For automatic QR-code file retrieval and the highest degree of precision, Zünd continues to offer the ICC camera which captures every register mark one by one. The Over Cutter Camera OCC captures all register marks simultaneously in a matter of seconds and can be added to any G3 cutting system.
